1. Where are you currently missioned and how’s it going?

[I am currently missioned to studies at Loyola University Chicago. I am part of the Jesuit community of the same university and live in “Arrupe House” with other Jesuits. I am glad I have the opportunity to share my daily life with other Jesuits.]

2. When was the first time you thought about being a Jesuit?

[The first time I thought about being a Jesuit I was nineteen years old and a student at the Mexican Seminary for Foreign Missions. During my second year of philosophical studies my classmate Alfoso Arceo let me borrow the magazine of the Mexican Province of the Society of Jesus. The wide variety of apostolate activities that Jesuits performed grabbed my attention. I loved the idea of doing many other things beside the responsibilities of a priest in a parish.]

3. How have your friendships changed or stayed the same since you entered the Portland novitiate?

[Fortunately, my friends have been very supportive of my decision to be a Jesuit. I continually receive emails in which I can see that my friends are still the same people, able to love no matter what – so long as it brings happiness.]

4. Is there a particular author, artist, saint, musician, etc. that has resonated with you during the transition into religious life?

[I enjoy reading several authors. For instance, I enjoy reading Hiriart because of his essayist style and ideas. I also enjoy Sienkiewicz, Marguerite Yourcenar, Aristotle, Barba Jacob, among others. It is hard to stick to one author with so many good writers around.

I am always impressed by the work of Jose Clemente Orozco, Diego Rivera, and Frida Kahlo. José Pablo Moncayo is one of my favorite musicians.

Ignatius of Loyola is a saint that has impacted me strongly for a long time. The spirituality that Ignatius offers us has been very helpful for me and has helped me to receive my life experience in a very enriching way.]

5. What the biggest surprise so far?

[The biggest surprise is that one becomes more and more sensitive for the everyday life.]

6. What would you tell a man who’s considering becoming a Jesuit?

[I would tell him to accept the discernment process and trust that it will help him find what he most deeply desires. If a man has already decided to join the Jesuits, I would tell him that he is about to start the greatest adventure he could have ever dreamed.]

Most blog hosts and website builders allow you to
place adsense ads and offer user friendly building tools to help you with the
process. Lastly, the companies pay twice a month into your account, transfer or
directly depositing. Further, once a customer has bought
a product from you once, they are far more likely to buy
    from you again and again.
